A Day at the Park

I had a really great day with Zoey and Noah today. We took Daddy to work so we could have the car and do something. We went and picked up McDonalds for lunch and took it to Arthur Pack Park to eat. Zoey was good and ate her lunch before she played. Noah didn't seem to get the whole idea of eat and then play. He went straight to play. He came back every now and then for food. They were just so excited to play. It was an absolutely perfect, beautiful day. It wasn't too warm out at all and it was cloudy out. It was such a gorgeous day. We played for a good hour and a half and had a lot of fun. After, we went to Target to try and start getting some summer clothes bought. They each got a couple outfits and then I let them pick a treat out because they had been so good that day, especially at Target. We really did have a good time spending all day doing things together. I get too caught up in things at home sometimes so I am sure Zoey and Noah both really enjoyed having Mom's full attention. What an absolutely wonderful day we had!
I think she is just so pretty, even with ranch on her lips.
My big boy climbing up the ladder on his own. I can't believe how big he is.
One of my all time favorite pictures. She opens her mouth and screams as she goes down. It's like it's a roller coaster.
I love that she is almost always willing to stop and pose for a picture for Mom. Her brother could learn a thing or two from her.
He looks like he is holding on for dear life. He's just going down very slowly on his tummy.
Just hangin out! Zoey thought she was so awesome holding on and then letting herself fall.
In great need of a drink in the middle of all that crazy play.
Pony riding swingin'!

Picture Day

A couple weeks ago I just felt like taking some pictures of the kids. Zoey likes to have her picture taken and will pose all day if I want her to. Noah used to love having his taken but now I have to catch him by surprise or without him knowing. These are a few of the fun pictures I took of Zoey. She is so cute!A little distracted by the cartoons on while Mom was trying to take her picture. I love it though! She's so funny in her glasses and jewelry. My attempt at taking Noah's picture. You can tell he is thrilled about it.My boy on a pink and purple big wheel with girlie sunglasses on. Ha Ha!

2nd Attempt at Planting Flowers

So Cosmo and Noah destroyed the first sunflowers we planted. Cosmo ate the dirt from Noah's and then Noah dumped Zoey's soil out. I was going to just forget about it but they were so excited about waiting to see the flowers grow. I bought some more sunflowers and also bought some daisies. We planted them and this time I put them in the front yard where neither Noah or the dog could get them. We are only a couple days in but the kids are super excited to check them every day and see if they have started growing yet. I sure hope something sprouts. The yellow pots are daisies and the blue pots are the sunflowers.

Everything is Amazing and Nobody is Happy

You have to watch this video. For one it is a good laugh. The guy is so funny. The other thing is that it is such a good reflection of the world we live in today. So often people are just not happy with what they have. Many people always want more and never appreciate how amazing some things are. Just watch it. It's great!

Silly Kid

Noah took this picture of himself. I held the camera and he pushed the button. He's so silly the way he scrunches up his face like that.

We Planted Flowers

I bought some little sunflowers at Target to plant with the kids. I have had them for a few days now and I finally decided to get them in the little pots. The kids were so excited and it was fun to do with them. It's not like it was a big task or anything but it was something different. They are really excited to check on them and see when they finally grow. I sure hope they do! I am glad I could put a little bright spot in my kids' day.

One of My Favorite Pals

Cosmo is such an awesome dog. He is a little crazy and hyper but he brings a certain joy to our family. He is such a funny little dog too. He loves to play and he loves to sunbathe. He cracks me up because he will find any little spot where sun is shining in and lay in it. He is such a good family dog. He's great with the kids especially considering they torture him so much. Cosmo really helps brighten my days. He is such a lovey cuddly dog. He is a great part of our family. I love him to pieces.Spoiled little dog. Grandma got him all bundled up in the chair in their room. His newest toy. Grandma convinced me to buy it. It's as big as he is!My cute sunbathing dog.I love this dog. He is such a good pal!!! I just can't resist that cute little face and those big ears!

Valentines Weekend

Jay and I got so lucky this year. We got to have a weekend away together and it happened to fall on Valentine's weekend. We just got a hotel in Scottsdale. It was nice because we didn't have to drive far and it was just so relaxing. Friday night we didn't get there until late so we just hung out in the room and watched a movie on HBO. On Saturday we got up late and had breakfast at Village Inn. It was delicious! Then we ventured to down town Phoenix to go to the Science Center. We had a good time there. The Star Trek exhibit was there and that was kind of fun to see. The only lame part was that we weren't allowed to take any pictures. We think the whole thing was overpriced but it gave us something to do and we had a good time just being together. This thing was gross. It had little drawers you open and it showed you what kind of parasites you can get on that part of your body. Nasty! Another lovely thing. A real visual of the digestive tract. These were actually someones insides. I couldn't resist taking a picture and sharing with you all. I can't believe these were someones intestines and stuff. Anyone for lunch???!!! I'm gross. I know. Sorry.Jay working on some plans for a house. Maybe he can draw up plans for my dream home! Trying to figure out this pipework. It was not successful. My new friend. I call her the house building lady. She was such a nice lady! :) This was kind of cool. It was fun to sit and watch people play with it. This one dad was doing all sorts of fun things with his little boy. This earth thing was way cool. Doesn't it look like it's just floating there? It was some sort of digital something or other. It was cool. There was this GIANT map on the wall at the Science Center. Jay is pointing to exactly where out hotel was. We thought it was kind of cool.

Valentine's dinner was about as romantic as it gets. :) We ordered some pork ribs from this drive thru place by the hotel and took them back to the room to eat. It sounds lame but they were some YUMMY ribs and we paid for a hotel so we figured we might as well spend as much time as we could in the room. That was about what we did. We actually exchanged gifts on Friday night after midnight because we didn't want to wait. I was so shocked and excited to see what Jay got me. I have been wanting a laptop for forever and he found an awesome deal on one. It was such an awesome gift. I couldn't believe it. I have such an awesome husband! His gift from me seemed to pale in comparison. I just got him a bag full of some of his favorite things. Some dice and characters for his gaming, Hershey dark chocolate bar, flaming hot munchie mix, Starburst jellybeans, a computer game, and the best was a picture frame I made for him. It turned out so cute and I was very proud. Of course I put a picture of me in it since I must be his VERY FAVORITE thing. Yummy ribs!!!!!My awesome computer. It looks almost exactly like this one. The only difference is mine is all black on the inside. Way awesome!!! My picture frame that I am so proud of. I think it turned out so cute. It is wood and I painted it white on the front. Then I used a stamp and did all the flowers. I added the couple other little things and that was that. I really think it's cute. I am proud of it if you can't tell.

It really was such an awesome weekend and of course it ended too quickly. I love Jay so much. The weekend was great because it gave us a chance to reconnect and get closer to each other. We tend to get so caught up in our lives at home that I think time for each other isn't always the top priority. All we had this weekend was time for each other without any distractions. It really was so awesome. I love Jay more and my feelings for him are stronger than they were before we went. He truly is my best friend and the love of my life. I wouldn't want anyone but him and I am so blessed to be married to such a wonderful man. I love you Jay!!!
Of course, thank you Mom and Dad for watching the kids and for the $. We really appreciate you guys letting us have this weekend. You guys are great!

Cousins and Friends

Donnie and Amy and the kids came over a couple weeks ago. It is so fun to have them close and for all the kids to get to play together. Elyssa was cute because she latched on to Zoey right away and followed her everywhere. Kella and Zoey get along really great too and have such a fun time playing together. I am so glad my kids have cousins close by again. They have such a fun time playing with them. Davey and Kella got to spend the night. Grandma was awesome and them and Zoey got to frost and put sprinkles on some Valentine's cookies. They had a great time.
They are such a cute duo. Thanks Grandma for doing something fun with the kids. They always love it!
