After several months of dating a surprise came our way. Jay and I found out we were pregnant. Was that some serious drama taking place?! It certainly wasn't the way we planned for things to go but it was what it was. We knew we wanted to be together and be married so we went with it. It was kind of a whirlwind event. The wedding was small and simple, certainly not traditional. It was still one of the best days of my life. Probably the best at that point. On May 8, 2004 (one day shy of 1 year together) I married my best friend, the one person who made me feel like I was more than I ever thought I was. The man who built me up, loved me for me, and who never left doubt about how much I meant to him. No one ever made me feel the way he did. He was the one and still is. I will never forget the day we got married. It wasn't the wedding every girl dreams of from the time she's little, but it was the perfect day. I remember how happy I was that day and that a smile never left my face. I knew he was the one. I married my best friend and I couldn't be happier. It was the start of our life together and our family to come. I wouldn't take back a moment. I love you Jay!
This is a picture my niece Kylie drew in primary the Sunday after we were married. She was 3 at the time. She was so excited to have and Uncle Jay. It's just one of those things we treasure. It lives in our wedding album. It's just so dang cute!
