And The Winner Is...
Mary Jane Doll
My mom entered some custom mix at 6 thing and was chosen. She was on the radio and everything. I thought the radio lady was funny asking my mom if her name is really Mary Jane Doll. The lady said it sounded like something her daughter would ask her for for Christmas. Mom also got to brag about being married for 43 years and that she has 5 kids and 11 grandkids. They will play her selection of songs this evening at 6. The best part of the whole thing is that she won a pair of tickets to see the Tucson Symphony Orchestra next weekend. What a nice free date for her and my dad. Merry Christmas to them! Glad you won Mom and that you could be on the radio (and you didn't even sound dorky at all)! :P

Cotton
This is one of the things I love about living out in Marana. We got to watch the cotton as it went from a seed to fully bloomed and ready to harvest. I don't know why but I have always loved to see the cotton in full bloom. It reminds me of snow and it's the closest thing one gets out here.
The mound in the back is the landfill.
Like this one with the 3 big trees and the mountains in the background. One of those tiny houses in the background is ours.
This is what they are left with as they go along harvesting. These bales are HUGE and I am in complete awe at how many of these are produced from the fields. It just doesn't add up to me but it's awesome.
If you have never seen it before, this is what cotton looks like on the plant. We had some stray cotton blow up to our front door and we were incredibly surprised at how crazy soft it is. I expected it to be fluffy and kind of soft but it is one of the softest things I have felt.

Playin' in the Rain
We had a good storm a while back and the kids wanted to play out in the back in the rain. While they were out the thunder started. It wasn't too loud but we got one good loud, long clap of thunder and poor Zoey about died. The above picture was right after she had been crying. The thunder startled her so much she ran in the house and fell to the floor in tears. Poor thing, she really was terrified. She got over it though and they enjoyed a little more time outside.06 December 2010

And We're Back
After avoiding the blog for a little while because I hated it so much, I am back now. I have a lot to catch up on much of which will probably come in the form of pictures. Really, with a demanding 7 month old I don't have a lot of time to spend writing blog posts. Hopefully I can get to posting soon. I am just happy that I can finally stand to look at my own blog again!

Revamp
My blog is going through some revamping. OK, the truth is I started messing around with it and couldn't get it back to what it was before. So I was forced into this but bear with me until I get it to where I want it. If I can that is...

Mt. Lemmon
A while back we took an afternoon and spent it up on the mountain. It is one of our favorite things to do. We all had a very enjoyable day and the weather was beautiful. I couldn't resist snapping a bunch of photos of my kids while we were in the beautiful mountains. So here is the overload of pictures because I couldn't just pick a couple to share.
Enjoying a little walk with Grandma and Grandpa

Nothing like grandparents. I am so grateful to get to live by some of the kids grandparents. I just wish we could live by ALL our family.
