Naughty Sophie

Working so hard to get the little game guys from the computer desk.
In her mouth it goes, just like everything else.
Video games taste yummy too.
Here Aunt Ali, I was just getting this one for you.
Love the way she is holding the one up with her foot.
Who me? I didn't do anything...
Uncle Jay remembering the hard way what it is like to have a mobile little one around.
Mischief tastes so good!
This was totally one of those moments when I realized Sophie was being just too quiet. I looked and found her quietly enjoying the chips that Uncle Jay left for her. Little naughty monkey! Sure was cute and funny though. Adding to the funny was when Zoey and Noah saw the chips all over the floor and it turned into an all you can eat buffet of floor chips. Kids are so weird.

One Last Family Night

The night before my brother and his family moved we had one last get together. We all had dinner together and played at the pool in Mom and Dad's neighborhood. The kids had a blast swimming and goofing off together in the water. It was a fun way to spend our last night together for a long while.

David held Olivia almost the whole time at the pool. She was so content.
Love the way Kylie and Zoey are swimming the same way.
My brother torturing his youngest daughter. She really did have fun though.
Assuming the diving position.
Kylie teaching Zoey how to dive.
Awesome mohawk!
My handsome nephew and my beautiful baby.
Sophie LOVES the pool.
Elyssa showing me how she can touch the bottom in the shallow end.
Oh my how we have laughed ourselves to tears watching this kid dive.
Joshua having fun with his daddy.
Elyssa and Zoey were often little buddies. Elyssa loved dragging Zoey around and doing things with her. Zoey was most often a good sport too.
The kiddos showing me how they can go under water.
I think my nephew should be a model or something. He is such a pretty boy.
Silly David!
All comfy and sleepy with cousin David.
These four jumped together what had to have been a hundred times. It was so great to watch them have such fun together.
I am not a fan of people posting blurry pictures (especially myself) but I couldn't pass this one up. I just love the joy on their faces. I especially love Noah's position and opened mouth smile.
Joshua showing me his mad floating skills. He's a good floater.

Sophie LOVES Olivia.
Olivia was helping Aunt Jenn pull weeds.
Doesn't she just look so thrilled?
Snuggling with her momma and her kitty.
Sophie reminded me to not get in to something that you can't get yourself out of. (She did get out on her own eventually but it just made me think that as I saw the picture.)

5 Months Old

Today Olivia turned 5 months. She is as cute as ever and her smile just makes me want to squeeze her. Here are a few things about Olivia at 5 months:

- 12 lbs. 15 oz.
- 25 1/4 in. long (those are 4 month checkup stats)
- holds her head up really well while sitting up or during tummy time
- rolls from her belly to her back
- moves from one place to another somehow with all her squirming and worming
- by far our most fussy baby
- loves her jumperoo
- currently working on drinking bottles and formula
- the lightest sleeping baby during the day, she typically won't sleep for more than an hour at a time during the day if even that long
- still a really great sleeper at night
- loves baths and cries when I get her out and put her jammies on
- has discovered her toes and loves to hold them
- loves her vibrating bird toy that's on her car seat
- will grab onto anything that touches her hand and then it goes to her mouth

There is so much more to tell but there always is. We love this little lady so much. Her big brother and sister still think the world of her too, even 5 months later. Olivia watches everything they do and is often very entertained by them. I am so grateful to have a baby around again. There's just a different feeling in the atmosphere with babies around and I am thrilled to have that feeling in our home. I just love this little baby girl to pieces and I can't imagine her not being here. She is growing quickly and though I wish I could slow time sometimes I very much am enjoying her as she gets bigger. Life is good as the mommy of Olivia. Happy 5 months baby girl!

Simple Fun

I remember being little and finding joy and excitement by simply hanging out on the bed with my big sister.

Oh wait...

I still do!
Just a sweet tired baby and her big sister's puppy.
