Smiles for Grandma

After a couple days of being fussy, Olivia finally had some happy time and smiles for Grandma.
It is so tiring being so cute.

Our 2nd Favorite Baby

We are a home full of Sophie fans. We love to have her come play and can't get enough of her. I don't know that anyone likes her quite as much as Noah does. He could be in the worst mood and if you tell him he is going to see Sophie he perks right up. If we didn't have a baby of our own Sophie would certainly be our very favorite. She is just too darn cute!
Sophie would rather play with the cord from the ceiling fan than with the toys.
I pulled out some baby toys for Sophie when she was over one day. Noah played with every one of them while Sophie played with things she wasn't supposed to.
Check out the splits this chunky monkey can do!
Naughty monkey trying to play with the night light.
She looks so tiny sitting in Noah's booster chair at the table.
Sophie wanted to help empty the dishwasher too.

7 weeks Old

Snoozing on her daddy.
Love the little smirk on her face.
My girls! Zoey loves holding her baby sister and Olivia is good with her, most the time.
Pictures with Mommy are pretty few and far between. I am always the one behind the camera so I don't tend to make it into many pictures. Zoey and Noah are really starting to love taking pictures so maybe there is some hope for me being in some. Zoey took this one.

D-U-S-T-Y

This is what a cedar chest looks like when it has been sitting up above a closet for 2 years. How gross is that?!
For a while Olivia always would put one of her arms up in the air. I always asked her if she had a question.
Her first smiley picture. So cute. I can't believe how much she has grown just since then.

Olivia and the Bear

This was when Olivia was about 6 weeks old. I was working on packing up some stuff in the kids bedroom and I brought her in to lay on the bed by me. I put Zoey's bear by her so she had something to look at. It ended up being one of her first cute moments. She just stared at that bear and was smiling and trying to make noises. It was so adorable. It kept her occupied for a good 20 minutes. It was just too darn cute and I got glimpses of some of her first real smiles.

Swimming

Went for a get together at my cousin's house the end of May. The kids all had a great time in the pool and hot tub. It's always fun to get the whole big group of us together. It's crazy, but fun.
Noah just sat on the little sitting place in the deep end. I couldn't get him to go out and swim around. He wouldn't move.
Zoey is a fish and would swim all day every day if she could. I just can't wait for her to be done with floaties.
The "kiddie pool" or hot tub as it actually is. The little ones love the hot tub though and spend most their time in it so I refer to it as the kiddie pool.
A little happier playing in the shallow end of the pool. He still didn't last too long though and got out because he was too cold.

Pam's Birthday

Pam's birthday was in May and though we were busy with all the craziness associated with moving, we just had to take the time to celebrate. We had some yummy crunchy tacos for dinner and a lemonade cake for dessert. It was nothing big but we just had to make sure Pam knew how great we think she is and how much we love her. We are so glad you are adopted into our family Pam! You are the bestest!

Big Helper

Noah was such a huge helper to Grandma and Grandpa one Saturday as they worked in the yard. He helped cut up all the branches that needed put in the trash can. He thought he was so great helping out and using the pruning shears. Way to go Noah for being such a great helper!

Some Time Around 1 Month Old

Noah was so proud to be holding her like a big people does.
She often has her bottom lip sucked in. So cute!
Olivia's sweet little hands. A rare thing to see them spread open too. She always has them balled up in fists.
She has such big eyes and I am still not sure on what color they are.
Having a sleep with Daddy while him and Zoey read Diary of a Wimpy Kid together.

2 Months Old

I can't believe how quickly the time has gone but our little Miss Olivia is 2 months old today. She had a well baby check today and she is doing great. She is now 10 pounds 7 ounces and 23 1/4 inches long. That puts her 2 pounds and 1 1/2 inches up in 6 weeks. She is in the 55th percentile for her weight and the 90th percentile for her height. I have a feeling this little girl is going to tower over me one day.

Olivia is doing more and more these days. She is definitely having more awake time though she does still sleep LOTS. She is an awesome night time sleeper and I can usually get 5-6 hours in at some point in the night. There are 3 things that top my list of new favorite things about Olivia. The first is that she is really starting to smile. I can definitely tell she knows her Mommy and she gives me the biggest grins. She is starting to smile more and more and if other people are lucky they get to see some too. The second thing I love is that she is working on finding her voice. I love to watch her open her mouth to try to talk to me and nothing makes it out. Every now and then though a few cute noises make their way out and I absolutely love it. The third thing I love right now is that though she is only 2 months she loves to sit up. If she is wide awake she prefers to be in a sitting position, not laying down. I often get protest from her if I do lay her down on her back. She holds her head up pretty darn good and has the biggest eyes when she is looking around. My little Olivia is just so darn cute.

Like I said, these 2 months have gone so quickly but I have certainly savored the time as much as possible. I don't know if there are more kids in our future or how many so I do my best to really enjoy Olivia's time as a baby. I see my niece and my friend's baby and realize just how quickly they grow. It has made it that much easier for me to really appreciate the sweet baby time. I really like to keep a clean home and always have things in order but I have even learned to let that go sometimes so I can sit and have my moments with my baby. I love holding her and napping with her. I love when she is sitting with me wide awake staring up at me and smiling that big smile of hers. I am just really enjoying having a little baby around again and she is helping me keep perspective of what is most important. Laundry, dusting, dishes, vacuuming, it can all wait. My growing kids don't wait though and sometimes it seems that time passes in a blink of an eye. I do my my best to not "blink" so much and miss those moments I may regret later. I truly am so grateful to be a mom and even if it may just be in the back of my mind I do thank God every day for my 3 beautiful kids. I can't imagine my life without them. Happy 2 months of life Miss Olivia!

Busy Busy Busy

Oh my goodness do I have some catching up to do on my blog. I was looking through the pictures on my camera and realized that it really has been too long especially since I have a little baby who is growing so fast. We have moved and gotten mostly settled so now just maybe I will take the time to play around on the computer. There's been a lot of excitement around here so stay tuned for some fun blog posts!

We Love Aunt Jenn

Aunt Jenn is hands down one of the best aunts that has or ever will walk this planet. She makes an effort to have a relationship with every one of her nieces and nephews. She is always interacting with the kids and doing fun things with them. Aunt Jenn is so great with my kids. One of my favorite things about her is that she does things with the kids and lets them help her do a lot of things that I am not so good at letting them participate in. She just has the patience to let them help even though it may take twice as long to accomplish whatever it is. I know it means a lot to my kids and they love whatever they get to do with her. Aunt Jenn is just so very much a hands on aunt and I am so grateful that we are lucky enough to get to live near her. We love you Feef! You really are one of the best Aunts ever!
