Little Miss Daphne

I was lucky enough to get to watch Daphne for a few hours last week. She is a complete doll and Olivia and I were very happy to have her around. Here's the little miss, just 10 days old.

One of the only eyes open shots I got. Not my favorite but her eyes are open and she's looking right at me.
So very tired.
Baby feet! The only type of feet I will have anything to do with.
Squishy face.
Look ate those long fingers.

Meeting Daphne

The Friday after Daphne was born the kids didn't have school so they were so excited to go meet her for the first time. Everyone got their turn to hold her and they ALL love her. We are definitely a baby family. It was sweet to see the kids with her and know that in a couple months that will be them with their baby brother. Seeing Daphne definitely makes us all more excited and anxious for our baby to get here. We can't wait!

Olivia was OBSESSED with Daphne. She thinks she should just be able to pick her up and carry her around like a doll. I get it because she is so tiny. We are going to have to watch this little monkey though when her brother gets here. Predictions have been made that one day we will find her walking down the hall with her baby brother in hand. I am pretty sure we will never be able to put him down where this little miss can get a hold of him. She is so sweet with the baby though and I think she will be so good and helpful with her brother.
Noah was the first one to jump to ask to hold Daphne. He really loves the little lady. I know he will yet again prove to be an awesome big brother. He is so happy to be getting a boy baby.
Zoey was super excited to meet the baby too. She was bummed she had to wait SO many days (like a whole 3) before she could see her. It is so fun with her being big now. She loves babies and is so good with them. She is also SUPER excited to be getting another brother.
While there Zoey helped feed and burp the baby. She loved it and did a great job. I can't wait for our baby to be here. I know Zoey is going to just adore him and I think more than ever she is really looking forward to helping out. She is going to be great with him.

First Quarter Awards

All ready to go see brother and sister get their awards.
Noah was one of only four in his class to get perfect attendance.
Noah's awesome Kindergarten class. He loves it!
So proud of our little man for getting honor roll and perfect attendance his first quarter ever in school.
He LOVES his teacher Mrs. Wilson. I am pretty sure he has a crush on her.
Getting awards is old school for Zoey these days. She is always proud though and she always makes sure to find Mom and give her a smile and a wave.
Four awards. Honor roll, homework award for always turning it in on time and completed, Eagle behavior award for being a good example and helper, and I think the last one was the super speller award for getting 100% on all tests.
We are really so proud of our kids. Zoey and Noah are both smart and so well behaved at school and we couldn't ask for more than that. We sure are lucky to have them.

Pumpkin Pickin'

A couple weekends before Halloween we went to the pumpkin patch that's right near our house. The association had it open to us to pick pumpkins and have free hot dogs, chips and drinks. We all had a great time searching for the perfect pumpkins. We saw some lady bugs and little fuzzy green caterpillars during our search. Though it was VERY hot out we are glad we went and could have such a fun time. Picking our own pumpkin from a patch was a first for almost all of us and we enjoyed the adventure.

Daphne Rene Kleinigger

My newest niece was born yesterday evening. She weighed in at a tiny 5 lbs 14 oz and is only 18 in long. She is so teeny tiny but she is healthy and beautiful. We are so excited she is finally here!

7 Years Old

WOW! Our first baby turned 7 yesterday. I know everyone says it but the time really does pass so quickly. We couldn't be more blessed and happy to have Zoey as our daughter. She is an amazing little girl. She is smart and beautiful and is a really great big sister. Of course as time goes on she develops a bit more or an attitude but I am pretty sure she isn't the only one. When that attitude isn't present though she is helpful and playful and so grown up. She has 2 younger siblings that look up to her and want to be around her all the time. She handles it pretty well most the time and is good about including them in what she does. Zoey is not our most cuddly, affectionate child but I know and can see how much she absolutely adores and loves her family. Zoey is wonderful and we all love her so much and can't imagine life without her.

Ha ha! The view from this side shows one very leaning tower.
It isn't the prettiest thing ever but Zoey had been asking for a princess castle cake for a few weeks now. She was thrilled by it so that's what really mattered. I think it turned out pretty decent considering I am not a professional and I just made it up.
Silly Zoey asked if she could do a silly face now.
I guess she had more than one in mind.
Birthday dinner at Chilis. She had to have her favorite baked potato soup.
This was the look on her face the whole time the servers sang to her. Just FYI, she requested she be sang to. She isn't my daughter because I certainly have never liked it myself.
Poor Noah started crying because he didn't get a treat like Zoey did. He was so upset. Poor guy.
This is his happy face when he saw that Zoey sent over some cake and ice cream to share.
It was great they let Zoey have whatever dessert she liked. I thought places just gave a scoop of ice cream. Instead she got a delicious piece of chocolate lava cake, free of charge.
The birthday girl and all her goodies.
In true child fashion, one of the best parts of the evening was popping all the bubble wrap from a package. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa McKinlay for that one!
Olivia partied too hard I guess. The way she fell asleep was too funny.
HAPPY 7TH BIRTHDAY ZOEY PAIGE!
