2 Months Old

I can't believe how quickly the time has gone but our little Miss Olivia is 2 months old today. She had a well baby check today and she is doing great. She is now 10 pounds 7 ounces and 23 1/4 inches long. That puts her 2 pounds and 1 1/2 inches up in 6 weeks. She is in the 55th percentile for her weight and the 90th percentile for her height. I have a feeling this little girl is going to tower over me one day.

Olivia is doing more and more these days. She is definitely having more awake time though she does still sleep LOTS. She is an awesome night time sleeper and I can usually get 5-6 hours in at some point in the night. There are 3 things that top my list of new favorite things about Olivia. The first is that she is really starting to smile. I can definitely tell she knows her Mommy and she gives me the biggest grins. She is starting to smile more and more and if other people are lucky they get to see some too. The second thing I love is that she is working on finding her voice. I love to watch her open her mouth to try to talk to me and nothing makes it out. Every now and then though a few cute noises make their way out and I absolutely love it. The third thing I love right now is that though she is only 2 months she loves to sit up. If she is wide awake she prefers to be in a sitting position, not laying down. I often get protest from her if I do lay her down on her back. She holds her head up pretty darn good and has the biggest eyes when she is looking around. My little Olivia is just so darn cute.

Like I said, these 2 months have gone so quickly but I have certainly savored the time as much as possible. I don't know if there are more kids in our future or how many so I do my best to really enjoy Olivia's time as a baby. I see my niece and my friend's baby and realize just how quickly they grow. It has made it that much easier for me to really appreciate the sweet baby time. I really like to keep a clean home and always have things in order but I have even learned to let that go sometimes so I can sit and have my moments with my baby. I love holding her and napping with her. I love when she is sitting with me wide awake staring up at me and smiling that big smile of hers. I am just really enjoying having a little baby around again and she is helping me keep perspective of what is most important. Laundry, dusting, dishes, vacuuming, it can all wait. My growing kids don't wait though and sometimes it seems that time passes in a blink of an eye. I do my my best to not "blink" so much and miss those moments I may regret later. I truly am so grateful to be a mom and even if it may just be in the back of my mind I do thank God every day for my 3 beautiful kids. I can't imagine my life without them. Happy 2 months of life Miss Olivia!

Busy Busy Busy

Oh my goodness do I have some catching up to do on my blog. I was looking through the pictures on my camera and realized that it really has been too long especially since I have a little baby who is growing so fast. We have moved and gotten mostly settled so now just maybe I will take the time to play around on the computer. There's been a lot of excitement around here so stay tuned for some fun blog posts!

We Love Aunt Jenn

Aunt Jenn is hands down one of the best aunts that has or ever will walk this planet. She makes an effort to have a relationship with every one of her nieces and nephews. She is always interacting with the kids and doing fun things with them. Aunt Jenn is so great with my kids. One of my favorite things about her is that she does things with the kids and lets them help her do a lot of things that I am not so good at letting them participate in. She just has the patience to let them help even though it may take twice as long to accomplish whatever it is. I know it means a lot to my kids and they love whatever they get to do with her. Aunt Jenn is just so very much a hands on aunt and I am so grateful that we are lucky enough to get to live near her. We love you Feef! You really are one of the best Aunts ever!

2 Week Old Olivia

I think Olivia has such long legs and arms. Maybe she will be tall like her Daddy.
There is just something that totally makes me smile and melt when I see a man with his little girl, especially when it's my husband and our daughters.

Sweet Moment

Jay: "I'm glad we had a girl. Ali will always be my best friend, but Noah is my best buddy." (I love it! I just hope it is something that can last their whole lives. I love my boys!)

Ice Cream!

A few nights ago we had ice cream cones for dessert. The kids loved them and it was quite entertaining how messy Noah was by the time he was done. Let me just say that the Mint Moose Tracks from Safeway is delicious!
What a cute sleeper with cute toes.
All comfy folded in half. Maybe that's how she was in my belly.
She looks like she is thinking hard about something while she sleeps.
Bath time is getting better. We can get through almost a whole bath without crying now.
Look at those cute kissable cheeks. Love it!
Holding onto Mommy. Those tiny hands are so sweet.

Some Darn Cute Kids

I never could have imagined how much more crazy, demanding, and challenging adding a third child to the mix would be. It certainly has taken some adjustment and I have most definitely had my "moments". The one thing I know for sure though is that it is worth it. I love being a mommy. I love and am so grateful being a stay at home mom. I have great kids and I am learning every day what it takes to become a better person and a better mom. I love my life and I love my kids!
