4th Avenue Street Fair

We have all been wanting to check out the 4th Avenue Street Fair for a few years now. We decided to finally check it out. It was OK I suppose. There were some neat booths but when you have no money to spend on the cool things you really like, it makes it a bit less fun. There are also several food vendors that have some tasty looking food. Again though, not gonna drop that kind of money on food. So, we went, we checked it out, been there, done that. I would maybe go back one day when we had money again and maybe just with Jay.

 One of my favorite booths. I loved this jewelry and I grabbed the guys card so maybe one day I might actually be able to buy something.

See that shack place on the left? That is where I practiced the most restraint. I wanted cheesecake on a stick so bad. I didn't do it though. Yay me!

 Crowds like this are SO not my thing, especially with 4 kids in tow.

 Aiden was so tripped out to be in a moving vehicle with no carseat.

 My very favorite part of the day. Dinner at one of my most favorite restaurants. Mmmmmm!

St. Patrick's Day also brought this little goober's 15th month of life. He is silly, and sweet and we adore him.

St. Patrick's Day dinner. All things green of course. Potato soup, homemade bread, jello, and soda. It was a tasty green dinner!

 Jay made a green dessert too, lazy momma's pudding. Mom brought over some nice, green rice krispie treats too. Mmmm!

Pie Day

3.14 Day pie. Reduced fat Oreo cookie crust, 1 sugar free chocolate and 1 sugar free cheescake pudding, 1 tub reduced fat cool whip. A little healthier but still very tasty.

Snapped this picture of a roadrunner I saw on the way back from my walk. Jay has never seen one and in the last year or so I have seen like 6.

Just checkin' emails and chattin' things up with friends online.

Thief!

So tired he just got himself in sleepy time position and just went to sleep on the floor. 

You sure can find some interesting things int he dryer when you have a 1 and 2 year old in your house.

Of all the floor and couch space this is where Olivia thought best to get comfy to watch the movie. Thankfully Zoey was feeling nice too because she let her stay that way. Zoey usually has a very large bubble so moments like this are always sweet.

Aiden loves to sit and play on Olivia's bed. I suppose for a while it was because it was one of the few things he could actually climb onto.

This girl loves her some flamin' hot munchie mix. She is also a big fan of spicy salsa. Love it!

Snow!

It may not be exciting to many people but for us long time Tucson/Marana folks some snow is pretty exciting. I was bummed that the big kids were at school but happy to hear they got special recess time to go out and play while it was snowing.

Goodbye Cast!

So excited to be saying goodbye to the lovely pink cast. It served us well and did it's job. It made for less work and fun for Zoey and more work and less fun for Mom. The cast came off and they did one more xray and everything looks great. We thought the cast would come off and we would be good to go. They put a soft cast on though and wrapped her arm in an ace bandage. Her activity was still restricted and the soft cast was to be worn for at least 2 more weeks as a reminder that it still needed to be treated with care. So we didn't walk away done with it all like we thought, and with another appointment in 4 weeks.

 Dr. Valencia came in and gently pulled them out. Zoey said she hardly felt it. There was more blood than I thought there would have been though.

 This is poor Zoey looking sad because she was. She was really disappointed that she still had activity restrictions. I believe she also looked unhappy because that night or the next day she got a stomach bug.

She wore her soft cast for exactly 2 weeks and then she was done with it. She started back with normal activity and at the 4 week mark we went back for the last appointment with Dr. Valencia. He had her do a bunch of things with her arms and he said her mobility in her left arm was perfect and he didn't expect there to be any problems. Finally! We are done with it all and so happy to be cast and restriction free. No doubt Dr. Valencia is on our radar now though in case any of the kids ever deal with any bone problems. He was fantastic.

Home Stretch

After 4 1/2 weeks it's the last night with a cast. We had to take pictures of all the signatures because there is no way in this world this mom is keeping the cast.

 How many kids get their cast signed by missionaries? This girl did by two of the most awesome missionaries, Elder Eddy and Elder Stringer.

Jay is the one who signed her cast with "GET WELL SOON!". I believe he signed it the night before it was coming off too. Silly Dad!

This girl cracks me up. A diaper, boots, comfy chair, and a book. What more could a 2 year old need?!

 Why use a blanket when you have a nice, big, comfy night shirt? I swear I offered him a blanket like 3 times, I really did, I am not that mean a mom.
